State26 Consulting was founded in 2021 in Michigan by Conservative activist, freelance graphic designer and Republican campaign organizer Jay W. Tompkins. We began life as a small graphic design company called "Tompkins Graphic Design" thus beginning our time-honored tradition of producing "some of the finest political literature money can buy."

2021 was a wild year- and amid a sea of unpredictability brought about by a pandemic and turbulent political climate, Jay decided to switch his focus primarily towards candidates for local Boards of Education. Going above and beyond just offering graphic services, he became heavily involved in the messaging and strategies of these campaigns, even managing a few of the campaigns personally.

And it paid off.

Despite massive statewide losses for Republicans, State26's inaugural "Class of 2022" was a roaring success, with every single State26 candidate winning their races in several school board districts across the Midwestern United States!

Our team went on to guide several successful campaigns for not just School Board, but State House, City Council, Congress, State Senate, County Commission, and State Supreme Court in the following election seasons- providing great service and sealing wins for dozens of candidates from 2023-2025!

In 2025, we adopted the name "State26 Consulting" as a reference to our home state of Michigan, the 26th state admitted to the Union. Despite how much we've grown and changed, though, our commitment to helping good people become great candidates will always remain at the heart of our operation.
